Travel is one of my favorite things to do. I’ve learned, though, that you have to travel smart and bring the right stuff. So for “Tips Tuesday” I wanted to share with you my 5 travel essentials! From road trips to flights across the country, these items have really come in handy to help me make trips with ease.
1.) Parka in a Pocket
I can’t really say enough about this jacket! I like traveling light and this works so well considering it all folds down into one small pocket! I’ve also found the pocket is even great to use as a little pillow for your head! I got mine in black and find it to be very flattering and fashionable. It’s great for when you might encounter chilly or rainy days and doesn’t take up much space in your bag.
2.) Blanket Scarf
This is another item I’ve learned I can’t live without! I had gotten one for Christmas and it is the loveliest, coziest thing I travel with. While it’s fashionable and cozy to keep you warm, it also makes a wonderful travel blanket! Forget that paper-thin airline blanket! I’ve even been known to nap on the couch with this thing. It’s very lightweight, but does a wonderful job keeping me warm!
3.) Justin Portal Battery Charger
Forget having to find an outlet in a packed airport! This little guy packs a powerful punch when it comes to recharging your electronic devices. It has 3 ports! I can charge our cell phones and ipad all at once! It’s small enough to carry in my purse or carry-on bag. I find myself using it when I know I won’t be anywhere near power outlets and it has served me very well!
4.) Personal Care Emergency Kit
These things are the cutest, little emergency kits I’ve ever seen! They come in a variety of specialties including one for bridesmaids, brides and honeymoons! From a needle and thread to pain-reliever and lip balm, these make the smallest of inconveniences a little simpler. Believe me, I’ve slept in enough airports to know that sometimes these things are necessary to survive and thrive in odd travel situations.
5.) Contigo Water Bottle with Clip
Staying hydrated on the go is so important! Taking my own water bottle has also saved me quite a bit of money! It’s amazing how much they charge for a bottle of water at the airport these days. Plus, the clip on the top allows me to clip it to my carry-on so that it’s accessible, but not in my hand the whole time.
Those are my top 5 go-to things! What about you? What are some of your travel necessities? Do any of these look like they may be able to make your travel life any easier?
