With Spring just around the corner, I decided to start whipping out some more festive projects! That, and I lost my sunglasses this week. This sort of thing seems like a normal occasion. The good news is, I found them. The bad news is, it took a week. So, I decided to make them a home. In doing this, I’m hoping that I’ll remember where I put them from now on. I thought the project was so cute, I decided to share the pattern with all of you! So for this “Made it Monday” and without any further ado, I give you my crochet sunglasses case!
I had a couple of cute buttons that I knew I wanted to use for this project. They had come in a package of a button assortment from Michael’s. I also had a very nice blue yarn called Big Twist in Sky Blue. It’s a pretty big skein of yarn, so I’m sure you could get more out of it than this one, little case. I will say this pattern is really easy and super quick to work up. I wrote it myself, so I don’t like getting too complicated.
What you’ll need:
Size H Crochet Hook
Round 1: hdc in second chain from hook. hdc all the way across and then back down the other side.
Round 2-20: hdc in each st all the way around.
Round 21: sc 18, ch 6 (to make buttonhole), sc in next 6 sts and cast off. Weave in ends.
Sew button in place on the opposite side of the buttonhole and enjoy your new crochet sunglasses!
I’ll be giving away this finished product to one of my subscribers next week! So, if you’d like a chance to win it, head on up to the top of the page and enter your email address! Winner will be contacted by email!
