For this episode of “Foodie Friday“, I wanted to touch on one of my very favorite things; coffee. I’ve recently discovered my love for cold brew coffee. Before this time, I really thought the idea of cold coffee sounded disgusting. Then it tried it one day. Even without any cream or sugar, it tasted sweet and nutty. Not only that, but it was incredibly smooth and not as acidic as a hot cup of coffee. So I set out to learn how to make a cold brew coffee myself at home. The warmer spring months are just around the corner and I know I’ll be craving a refreshing cold coffee very soon! Thus, here is my easy, diy cold brew coffee!

I will say I used World Market Moka Java Blend. We got this for Christmas and have loved it either brewed hot or cold. It has a subtle sweetness to it that makes either brew enjoyable. Try it out and tell me what you think!

DIY Cold Brew Coffee

Enjoy the smooth, refreshing taste of this cold brew coffee you can make at home. It's subtle sweetness is enjoyable even without cream and sugar!

Ingredients

  • 24 oz cold water
  • 3 tbsp course ground coffee

Instructions

  1. Combine ground coffee and cold water in a glass container. Stir well. Large mason jars work well for this purpose.

  2. Allow to brew in refrigerator for 12 hours.

  3. Use strainer to separate grounds from the coffee.

  4. Serve over ice alone or with your favorite sweeteners and cream.
